Upgrading to Version 8+

WP Simple Booking Calendar version 8.0.0 has been completely rewritten from the ground up. Everything in the plugin is brand new, more secure and more extendible.

We’ve tried our best to offer backwards compatibility, so that all existing customers, which have versions smaller than 8.0.0, can easily upgrade and take advantage of the new plugin.

To upgrade, before trying to install the newest version, please deactivate and delete the old version of the plugin. Your existing calendar data and plugin settings will not be removed in the process.

After a complete uninstall of the old version, install the new version as any other WordPress plugin. If you need help with this process, please read this short tutorial.

Once the new version of the plugin is installed you will be prompted with a welcome page that has the option to migrate all your old information into the new plugin. If you want to keep your old calendars, it’s highly recommended that you do this step.

Yet, if you wish to completely start over without any of your old data, you can skip the migration process.
